Government Mandated

The Department of Emergency Management is required by the Federal Government for every municipality in the United States. Emergency Management falls under the umbrella of Homeland Security.

This department is responsible for the health and welfare of the citizen’s within the community of Yeadon and also assists other municipalities when requested.

This department works in four phases:

• Mitigation or prevention
• Preparedness
• Response
• Recovery

The Department of Emergency Management continues it mitigation practices 24 hours a day, 7 day a week.

The Yeadon Borough Department of Emergency Management offers services for residents in crisis. Our vision and purpose is to ensure the safety and maintain the quality of life in Yeadon Borough.
