Pollinator Workshop

Free Pollinator Workshop at Yeadon Borough Hall – Tuesday, May 5

Learn about how adding native pollinator plants to your property can improve water quality, support pollinators and local wildlife and add beauty to our communities. Participants will receive a few native plants to start the transformation! This free workshop takes place from 7 to 8 PM at Yeadon Borough Hall on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Financial and other support for the workshop has been provided by the PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Education Grants Program and was financed in part by a Growing Greener Grant provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Register Now for Free Virtual Rain Garden Training Series Beginning April 22

Growing Greener Communities is proud to announce a new program available to residents in local watersheds! The GGC Rain Garden Course is a four week program that covers everything you need to design and install your own native rain garden. The course includes live class sessions, hands-on rain garden build experience, and individualized project support. Registration is free for residents of the Darby, Cobbs, and Schuylkill River watersheds. Upon completing the course, participants will receive free native plants and tailored resources to help make their own rain garden project a success.

The GGC Rain Garden Course will be offered as a virtual program in the spring and will run Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm starting on April 22nd ending May 13 with an optional in person event at a rain garden at a later date. Class dates are 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, and 5/13.

Presented by the Pennsylvania Resources Council and the Eastern Delaware County Stormwater Collective

Receive a free rain barrel and learn to manage storm water on your property!
