Key Dates and Deadlines

Amid a surge in mail-in ballots, the COVID-19 public health emergency and civil disturbances, Governor Tom Wolf signed an executive order extending the deadline for county election offices in Allegheny, Dauphin, Delaware, Erie, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties to receive absentee or mail-in ballots by mail to 5 p.m. June 9, 2020. The ballot must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, June 2, 2020. The deadline to hand deliver absentee or mail-in ballots remains 8 pm. June 2, 2020.
Ballots can be hand delivered to the Delaware County Government Center or to any polling location. More Information here

Mail-In Voting Deadline May 26 May 18, 2020: Last day to REGISTER TO VOTE before the primary
May 26, 2020: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
June 2, 2020: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8 PM)
June 2, 2020: GENERAL PRIMARY Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM.

General Election

June 3, 2020: First day to REGISTER TO VOTE after primary
June 9, 2020: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 PM on June 1)
August 3, 2020: Last day to circulate and file nomination papers
August 10, 2020: Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers
August 10, 2020: Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the primary
October 19, 2020: Last day to REGISTER before the November election
October 27, 2020: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
November 3, 2020: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8 PM)
November 3, 2020: GENERAL ELECTION Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM
November 4, 2020: First day to register AFTER November election
November 10, 2020: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 PM on November 2)
