The Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery are hosting Darksome Art & Craft Market’s Summer in the Cemetery, Saturday, August 3 from 10am – 5pm. The event will feature over 85 “weird and spooky” artists on the cemetery grounds.

The market will offer apparel, jewelry, home décor, bath and beauty products, art prints, illustrations, photography, and more. Several delicious, local food trucks will be on hand.

One of Philadelphia’s oldest and most historic cemeteries, Mount Moriah Cemetery is a 200 acre site that is being restored by a Friends group. It is the final resting place of many people significant to the history and culture of Philadelphia, with many notable citizens from politics, entertainment, sports and business, as well as over 3,000 veterans from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, War of 1812, the Korean War, World Wars 1 and 2, and others.

A $5 suggested donation is being asked to enter the event to benefit a major restoration effort of the cemetery.
