Register Now at delcopa.gov/healthyholidays

Delaware County Council is hosting a ‘Healthy for the Holidays’ COVID-19 Vaccine Townhall on Wednesday, December 8, at 7:00 p.m. to help ensure that residents have the latest COVID-19 information as we move into the holiday season and residents gather with loved ones and travel.

A panel of distinguished health experts will discuss the latest data regarding regional COVID-19 positivity rates and hospitalizations, boosters, variants, vaccine hesitancy, and more.

The Healthy for the Holidays COVID-19 Vaccination Townhall panelists include:

  • Dr. Lisa O’Mahony, Pediatrician and Delaware County Interim Physician Advisor
  • Dr. Patrick J. Brennan, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of University Pennsylvania Health System and Delaware County Board of Health member
  • Dr. Maria Barrett, Associate Professor, Widener University Center for Social Work Education
  • Dr. Victor Rullan, Epidemiologist for Delaware County

Delaware County residents can participate through Zoom (through their desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device) or—for those without a fast and reliable internet connection—through a regular phone connection. Residents will have the ability to submit questions during the Townhall, and the panel will answer as many questions during the Townhall as time allows. We anticipate that the Townhall will run between one and one-and-a-half hours.

Residents must pre-register to participate in the Townhall via Zoom by visiting delcopa.gov/healthyholidays and filling out the brief sign-up form.

Individuals who prefer to participate by phone can dial 1-855-756-7520, Conference # 77914 at 7:00 p.m. on December 8 and will be connected.

Take the Delaware County Broadband Internet Access Survey

This quick survey is designed to collect data about the availability of internet service for residential and business addresses in Delaware County

The County has created a survey to identify residential and commercial locations that don’t have access to broadband internet or that have limited access in order to identify places where broadband infrastructure does not exist or places that do not meet the minimum speed suggested by the FCC for appropriate service.

Click here to take the survey online

All residents and business owners are urged to take the survey. More responses will lead to more accurate data to help the County bridge the digital divide.

A technical note regarding the survey: We ask that respondents do not take the survey using cellular data. You can complete the survey on your phone, but only if connected to your residential or workplace internet Wi-Fi.

Those without internet access at home can visit any Delaware County library, municipal building, State Senator’s office, or State Representative’s office to connect to Wi-Fi to complete the survey.

To download and print a paper copy of the survey, click here.

The survey is expected to be available through January 14, 2022.
