We are one month away from Yeadon Borough’s biggest party! The Yeadon Borough Recreation Committee presents our inaugural “Freedom Day” Celebration… All day ….Free Admission, JOIN US on June 20, 2026!
Rain or shine…we will have a time in Yeadon, PA!
We will celebrate “freedom”, what it means to be free as Americans and what it means to be “free-ish” African-Americans,here in America!
Schedule of events:
We will open with our flag-raising ceremony at the “circle”(Cypress and Longacre Boulevard) at 11:00 am. Featuring @ashliricemusic and the recitation of what it means to be an American slave by nationally acclaimed actor Darius Wallace @dariusactor as Fredrick Douglass.
At 1:00pm,will continue the party at Yeadon Community Park for our Cultural Celebration and Juneteenth Flag raising with featured guests:

🖤ML Magic Association: Puppet reenactment of the story of Juneteenth
💚The Earth Wind and Fire Tribute Band
Music 🎵with @djdiscipline5 🎤… and Line Dancing
There will be free: water ice🍧, pretzels 🥨, popcorn 🍿and cotton candy. Bouncy house with kid activities provided by @pearsonsentertainment
Food, Vendors and ending our day at the Rap Curry Athletic complex at Kerr Field for fireworks at approximately 8:30 pm!
