Backyard Composting Workshop

Are you unsure of what to do with your kitchen, garden, and yard scraps? Would you like natural, homemade compost for your lawn and garden?

Expand your waste reduction efforts by signing up for this free Backyard Composting class – and turn your organic waste into a valuable resource for your garden.

Learn the benefits and process of composting, plus everything you need to know about setting up and maintaining a compost bin to turn kitchen scraps, yard waste, and more into natural, home-made compost.

Registrants will also receive a FREE 82-gal compost bin (one bin per housheold).

This workshop is free, but registration is required.

Roadwork Notice

Notice of Road Construction: Duff Avenue Between Stetser and Callahan Avenues

Road reconstruction on Duff Avenue (between Callahan Avenue and Stetser Avenue) will begin on or about April 10, 2024.

During this time, this section of road will be closed and barricaded for 24 hours a day until this work is completed.

Residents of Callahan Ave. and Stetser Ave. will have access to their homes at all-time. There will be no access for school buses, emergency vehicles, postal delivery, trash collection or residents until this work is completed.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, as we look forward to a safe and speedy completion of this project.

Tax Collector to Offer Extended Office Hours March 25-27

Yeadon Borough Tax Collector Yolonda Hughes plans to have extended hours outside of her regular schedule of Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 am – 2 pm. on the following days and times:

  • Monday, March 25: 10 am to 3 pm
  • Tuesday, March 26: 1:30 pm to 4 pm
  • Wednesday, March 27: 10 am to 3 pm
