Yeadon Avenue Resurfacing Starts Thursday, October 24th
Notice to Residents
Road milling and resurfacing to take place on Yeadon Avenue on the following dates:

Thursday, October 24

Friday, October 25
-
Monday, October 28
Please remove all vehicles from the street by 7:00 am on these days.
No work will be performed on Saturday and Sunday.
Yeadon Avenue Blocks Scheduled for Milling and Resurfacing:
- Yeadon Avenue – Redwood to Cedar
- Yeadon Avenue – Cedar to Parmley
- Yeadon Avenue – Parmley to Darnell
- Yeadon Avenue – Darnell to MacDade
Residents will be able to access their homes, but traffic may be restricted and street
parking will be prohibited until the work is completed. Please do not drive through
barricades, as these are placed for the safety and protection of the workers.
Unless absolutely necessary, please do not drive or walk across freshly tarred or paved
street. The oils and tar will stain cars, clothes, carpet, etc.
If we are not there on the above date, we will be there on the following day.
Remember: Only a short-term inconvenience for a better road! Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
ROAD CLOSURE: Yeadon Avenue – Thursday, October 17th
Due to an emergency sewer dig, Yeadon Avenue is currently closed between Redwood Avenue and Cedar Avenue. The closure is expected to last until until 10 PM.
Notice Regarding Kerr Field Incident on Friday, October 4
**Notice to Yeadon Residents**
Dear Yeadon Community,
We regret to inform you of an incident that occurred on Friday, October 4, during the football game at Kerr Field, where a fight broke out. Police responded swiftly to disperse the crowd and restore order, leading to the game being called off. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Chief Giammarco will collaborate with the school district’s athletic director, the public safety director, and borough representatives to assess the situation and implement necessary modifications to ensure the safety and security of our residents at future events.
While this was an unfortunate incident, we remain hopeful about enjoying community events together. Please know that your safety is our top priority, and we are taking this matter very seriously.

Yeadon Fire Company Hosts Fire Prevention Night Friday, October 4th
Yeadon Fire Company is hosting their Fire Prevention Night on Friday, October 4th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Yeadon Borough Hall.
During the night there will be fire prevention demonstrations, safety tips, meet and greet with firefighters, tours of the fire house and trucks, and lifesaving equipment.
The American Red Cross will also be in attendance allowing residents to sign up for free smoke detectors and installation as well as registering for the Blood Drive on November 22.
