Beginning the week of June 8, 2026, Aqua Pennsylvania will begin a water main replacement project in portions of Yeadon and Darby Boroughs. Work includes replacing 3,450 feet of aging water main along Cedar Ave, Norma Rd, Alfred Ave, Coventry Ave, Glen Cove Rd, Londonderry Ln, and Shetland Rd.
The project is part of Aqua Pennsylvania’s infrastructure improvement program aimed at improving water service reliability, reducing water main breaks and discolored water, and improving water flow.
Construction is expected weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Residents will continue to have property access, though temporary traffic and access adjustments may occur as work zones shift. Emergency vehicles, mail delivery, school buses, and trash collection will be accommodated throughout construction.
Trenches will be covered with temporary blacktop at the end of each workday with full restoration anticipated Fall 2026. Aqua will notify customers ahead of any planned water service interruptions and will provide 24-hour advance notice for any scheduled interruption greater than 30 minutes.

Trash collection schedule for the week of May 25:
• Monday trash will be collected on Tuesday, May 26
• Tuesday trash will be collected on Wednesday, May 27
• There will be no recycling collection on Wednesday this week.

We will open with our flag-raising ceremony at the “circle”(Cypress and Longacre Boulevard) at 11:00 am. Featuring @ashliricemusic and the recitation of what it means to be an American slave by nationally acclaimed actor Darius Wallace @dariusactor as Fredrick Douglass.
At 1:00pm,will continue the party at Yeadon Community Park for our Cultural Celebration and Juneteenth Flag raising with featured guests:
