The Yeadon Police Department is providing an update regarding police activity in the 400 block of Church Lane earlier today.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., the 400 block of Church Lane was closed to traffic while law enforcement officers responded to a residence in connection with an individual wanted on prior firearms-related charges. The residence was secured, and the area was restricted while officers worked to resolve the situation safely.
Residents and motorists were notified through Delco Alerts and asked to avoid the area because of police activity. The incident was resolved peacefully, and Church Lane has been reopened.
The Yeadon Police Department thanks the residents and motorists who followed the notification to avoid the area and cooperated with officers during the response. Community cooperation helped emergency personnel safely manage the scene.

The individual involved in this incident is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Additional information will be released when it can be provided without compromising the investigation or applicable legal proceedings.
The Yeadon Police Department reminds residents to follow official emergency notifications, avoid active police scenes, and allow responding officers and emergency personnel to perform their duties safely.

The Delaware County Conservation District is seeking information from property owners who experienced significant streambank erosion or worsening of existing streambank damage following a significant storm event on June 14–15, 2026
Property owners affected by the storm may be eligible for assistance through an Emergency Watershed Protection Program.
