Peco Project

Notice of Upcoming PECO Work in Yeadon

Recently, some Yeadon residents may have received a notice from PECO informing them of an upcoming infrastructure project taking place in parts of Yeadon Borough and Upper Darby Township.

This $3.6 million project will include upgrading and installing new, innovative equipment, including new poles and tree-resistant aerial wires. Advanced devices will be installed that can stop the flow of electricity if a problem occurs and automatically restore electricity where possible.

During the next few weeks, qualified PECO contractor Davey Resource Group will be in the area surveying the necessary tree work. If there is required tree work on your property, PECO will contact you directly to review the plan in-person.

Tree work is expected to begin in October 2025, with the entire project is expected to be completed in Q2 2026.
