Bike Delco Survey

Take the Eastern Delaware County Biking Survey

Yeadon residents are invited to participate in a brief survey focused on bicycling in Eastern Delaware County. Your feedback will be used to help understand local bicycling needs and identify necessary improvements to encourage people of all ages and abilities to hop on a bike!

The purpose of this Study is to identify regional bicycle connections through Upper Darby, Lansdowne, East Lansdowne, and Yeadon. Your feedback is vital in helping the project team identify important destinations in the region, priority bicycle routes, and necessary bicycle infrastructure improvements to increase safety and encourage cycling for all — from commuters to families.

PECO to Perform Tree Trimming in Yeadon Neighborhoods This Summer

PecoPECO’s Vegetation Management department has scheduled tree pruning in the Yeadon area to prevent electric service issues caused by broken tree limbs, fallen trees and other vegetation.

This work will begin in July/August and will be completed in September.

PECO’s tree service contractor – specially trained for utility work – will prune to promote tree growth away from power lines and equipment.

Work will take place in the areas indicated on the map below. Residents affected in these areas will also receive a letter from PECO with additional details.

Yeadon Vaccine Clinics Among Several Offered by Delaware County Vaccine Task Force

Delaware County is currently offering the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines to Delaware County residents.

A complete schedule of upcoming clinics and additional vaccination opportunities is available online at delcopa.gov/vax/.

Pfizer and Moderna Offered in Yeadon

In Yeadon, the Pfizer vaccine – eligible for those ages 12 and up – will be administered at the Delaware County Wellness Center, 125 Chester Avenue, between 3 pm and 7 pm on Thursday, May 27. Learn more

On Friday, May 28, the Moderna vaccine will be offered at the Wellness Center between 11 am and 8 pm. Learn more
Walk-ins are welcome. No ID or Health Insurance Required.

Pop-up Clinics

The week of May 24-28, a series of morning pop-up clinics will take place in Darby Township, Glenolden, Prospect Park, Tinicum, and Chester Township. See additional details on each clinic here.

Weekly Clinics at 69th St. Terminal

Each Thursday, from 3 to 7 pm, the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be administered for free to all eligible recipients in the Great Hall (main lobby) of the terminal. Learn more at delcopa.gov/vax/.

Program Also Vaccinates Homebound Individuals

Individuals can call the Delaware County COVID-19 Call Center at (484) 276-2100, or by email covid19resources.co.delaware.pa.us, to add themselves or a homebound loved one, friend or neighbor to the “Homebound Roster” for an on-site at-home vaccination. Information needed includes the name of the person to be vaccinated, a phone number, zip code, and an email if applicable.

County Vaccination

Pfizer Vaccine Clinic (ages 12 and up) at Wellness Center Thursday, May 27

The Delaware County Wellness Center (125 Chester Ave. Yeadon, PA 19050) will be the site of a COVID-19 vaccination Cclinic (administering the Pfizer vaccine) on Thursday May 27th, from 3 PM – 7 PM.

Anyone 12 years and older is able to be vaccinated with Pfizer. The second doses will be scheduled with you that day for Thursday, June 10th.

Appointments can be made on the Delaware County vaccination website at delcopa.gov/vax – scroll down to the red box labeled ‘Pfizer-BioNtech’ and click on the red button that says ‘Schedule my Appointment.’
