Detour for E. Providence Rd.

West Providence Road Closed Weekdays for Sewer Project

Due to sanitary sewer replacement work, West Providence Road will be closed to traffic between Lansdowne Avenue and the boundary with Upper Darby Township (at Darby Creek) beginning Monday, August 10th. The project is expected to take approximately 45 days.

Work is expected to take place between 8 AM-5 PM. During these hours, a detour will be in effect as shown below:

Baily Road Closed Due to Storm Damage

Baily Road from Industrial Park Drive to Union Avenue is shut down due a large tree that fell and knocked down PECO poles and wires. Please be patient and DO NOT remove any barricades, caution tape, or other guiding and channeling devices that have been set up to warn drivers of the hazards ahead. PECO will handle this issue as soon as they can. We thank you in advance for your cooperation as storm clean up efforts continue.

Borough Hall

Roof Replacement at Borough Hall to Impact Parking, Entrances

Please be advised the Borough Hall building is under construction for roof replacement. The expected date for completion for the project will be approximately two weeks. Please use caution as there are heavy operating equipment and possible debris falling from the roof. Parking may be limited. Please use the Borough parking lot behind the old Yeadon movie theater and Quality Gas or the Lukoil parking lot across the street. Also, entrances may be temporarily closed for everyone’s safety.

Baily Road Closed Monday June 8

Baily Road will be closed on Monday, June 8th from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. between Church Lane and Laurel Road to all vehicle traffic. Emergency vehicles will have access on a slight delay.

Aqua PA

Aqua PA Water Main Replacement on Baily Road

Aqua Pennsylvania began the replacement of water mains on Baily Road between Church Lane and W. Cobbs Creek Parkway in Yeadon Borough on May 27, 2020, and is expected to be completed by early fall.

Construction will generally take place weekdays between 7 AM and 4 PM Access will be provided for emergency, mail, and trash service. However, crews may need to work beyond 4 PM and on Saturdays in most cases. Residents will have access to their properties, but at times will need to enter from different directions due to changing work zones.

*Please note the trench will be covered with temporary blacktop at the end of each workday.

Customers will be notified ahead of any planned water service interruptions and Aqua will provide 48 hours advance notice for any scheduled interruption greater than 30 minutes. Aqua will have an inspector on the job each day to answer your questions.
