Delaware County presents four Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events in 2020. On the event dates listed below, only Household Hazardous Waste will be accepted

Electronics Waste & Latex Paint will NOT be accepted

This Program is offered as a community service to the residents of Delaware County and is not open to businesses, institutions or industry.

Pre-Registration Required

PADEP has now mandated pre-registration for HHW collection events. Register here.

Cobbs Creek Parkway Project

West Cobbs Creek Parkway Project Groundbreaking Sept. 27

On July 31, 2019, Yeadon Borough closed on the PENNVEST loan for the West Cobbs Creek project. This project will result in sanitary sewer system improvements as well as West Cobbs Creek Parkway

Yeadon Borough Mayor Rohan Hepkins announces that Yeadon will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony at the intersection of Chester Avenue and West Cobbs Creek Parkway (across from the Route 13 trolley stop). The Mayor, Council, and residents invite everyone to come out and join us for this event. The press is invited to stop by and see the beginning of the improvements.

Tree removal

Tree Removal to Limit Parking at Borough Hall August 13

Please be advised that Yeadon Public Works will be removing two dead trees at the end of the Borough Hall parking lot early morning on Tuesday, August 13. The photo shows the exact location where the trees are being removed. For everyone’s safety, there will be no parking wherever cones are placed that day. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this matter.

Yeadon Police Host Second Annual Youth Police Academy

Yeadon Police proudly announces its Second Annual Youth Police Academy. The program will run eight weeks, beginning October 2, 2019 ending with a graduation during the borough council meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Youth Police Academy Classes will be held at Yeadon Borough Hall, every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm unless otherwise noted in the schedule. The academy is free, and class size is limited to 12 high school (grades 9-12) students residing in the William Penn School District. The application can be found here.

Borough Offices Closed Wednesday, Feb. 20

Due to the expected winter storm today, Yeadon Borough Municipal Offices will be closed.

The William Penn School District is also closed today, Wednesday, February 20th.
