PECO Energy Relief Fund

Additional PECO Funding Offers Temporary Relief for Energy Costs to Qualified Customers

Yeadon Borough wants residents to be aware of a temporary energy assistance program that may help households facing high utility costs.

PECO, in partnership with the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, has launched a temporary PECO Customer Relief Fund to support customers struggling with rising energy expenses. Through this program, eligible PECO customers may apply for a one-time grant of $750 to help offset energy costs.

The PECO Customer Relief Fund is available for qualified residential customers in the PECO service area. To check eligibility to participate in the fund, visit PECO.com/relief.

The fund is administered by the United Way and made possible through a charitable contribution from Exelon, the parent company of PECO. It is intended to assist low-income and limited- to middle-income households.

Energy costs have been increasing as demand grows and supply struggles to keep up. While PECO does not control energy supply pricing, the company has stated it remains committed to advocating for customers and working toward long-term solutions.

Yeadon Borough encourages residents who may qualify to explore this opportunity for assistance.

Parking Restrictions Lifted

Parking Restrictions Lifted Through Friday, February 27

Due to continued inclement conditions and accumulated snow on roadways, restrictions on parking during certain hours are lifted from Monday, February 23 through Friday, February 27, 2026.

During this time, the usual requirements to move vehicles on specific days and during certain hours are suspended. Residents will not be required to move their vehicles for scheduled parking restrictions while this temporary suspension is in effect.

Yeadon Snow Emergency

Snow Emergency Declaration

Mayor Rohan Hepkins has officially declared a Snow Emergency, and the Police Department would like to share the following important parking information with our community.

Snow Emergency Parking Update: The usual requirements to move vehicles on specific days and during certain hours will be suspended. Residents do not need to move their vehicles for scheduled parking restrictions while the suspension is in effect. All other parking regulations remain in effect. This includes restrictions related to fire hydrants, intersections, driveways, handicap spaces, posted time limits, and other posted signage. Violations will continue to be enforced.

Vehicles parked on designated Snow Emergency Routes must be moved by 4 PM Sunday. Any vehicle left on a Snow Emergency Route is subject to ticketing and may be towed without further notice to ensure roadways remain clear for plowing and emergency vehicles. The three municipal parking lots are open and available at no cost. Residents are encouraged to use these lots if additional parking options are needed during the snow event.

Additional Reminders: It is against the law to throw, shovel, or plow snow into the street. Doing so creates hazardous driving conditions and obstructs snow removal operations. Saving parking spaces on public streets with chairs, bags, trash cans, or any other items is prohibited under state law. Such items may be removed, and violations may result in enforcement action. Our priority is to ensure that roads remain accessible for snow removal operations and emergency response vehicles. We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community safe and passable during this weather event.

Stay safe and allow extra time for travel as crews continue snow removal operations throughout the week.

Snow Emergency Declaration for Yeadon Borough

February 22, 2026

Due to the impending snow storm forecasted, a Snow Emergency Declaration is hereby in effect for Yeadon Borough from 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026 through 8:00 am Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

During this specified time period, no parking is allowed on any snow emergency street (see the list of streets below). Any car found parked on these streets during this state of emergency is subject to towing or ticketing.

The purpose of this declaration is to ensure clear access to major streets for emergency vehicles responding to emergencies when inclement weather compromises passability.

Cars are to be parked on other accessible streets. In order to ease this transition, the municipal parking lots located at Church Lane & Guenther Avenue, Myra Avenue & Church Lane, and Holly & Baily Roads will also be made available for additional parking during this time period.

Residents are also asked to exercise caution during this emergency, stay safe, and avoid unnecessary travel. Also please continuously check on neighbors and loved ones during this period…and make sure your cell phones are fully chaged at all times to be prepared for any possible power outages.

Should there be any changes to this declaration, another notice will be disseminated to update residents.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation…and please be safe !
