Electronic Waste Collection Event Saturday Dec. 1

On Saturday, December 1, Yeadon hosts an Electronic Waste Collection from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1115 Baily Road (right across from Kerr Field). The event will be held outside of the Public Works garage. We will be accepting the following: all electronic toys, games, computers, monitors, television/radios, stereos and other items with plug. Large appliances will not be accepted.

Borough Hall Closed, Council Meeting Rescheduled

Due to the inclement weather, Yeadon Borough Hall is closed at of 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 15.

In addition, the Legislative Meeting of Yeadon Borough Council scheduled for Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 pm has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 20.

125th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, Nov. 3

Join with neighbors in exploring Yeadon’s past, learning more about Yeadon’s present, and thinking about Yeadon’s future at the Quasquicentennial Anniversary Celebration at Yeadon Borough Hall on Saturday, November 3. Presented by Yeadon Borough Council, the Yeadon Borough Recreation Committee, and the Yeadon Borough Historical Commission, the 2:00 to 6:00 pm event will feature exhibits, handouts, presentations, refreshments and more.

William Penn School District

William Penn School District Listening Sessions

The William Penn School District is holding a series of Listening Sessions for residents of all district communities. Officials will be available to listen to concerns and answer questions about anything you want to talk about!

Meetings take place at 7:00 pm at the following locations and dates:

November 5, 2018: Aldan/Aldan Elementary School
December 3, 2018: Darby/Penn Wood Middle School Library
February 4, 2019: East Lansdowne/E. Lansdowne Elementary School
March 4, 2019: Yeadon/Bell Ave. Elementary School
April 1, 2019: Colwyn/Colwyn Borough Hall
May 6, 2019: Lansdowne/Twentieth Century Club

Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Your entire family is welcome!

Come out for a night of fun with Dracula, The Wolfman, Jason, Frankenstein and others.

Tuesday, October 23: Teen Scream
Wednesday, October 24: Family Night
Thursday, October 25: Open to All

Bring a canned food donation for the food bank.

Traffic Delays, Limited Parking Near Borough Hall

Due to construction work on the firehouse ramp, there will be limited parking at Borough Hall and excessive traffic in the area of Church Lane and Bailey Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the intersection if possible. This project is expected to be completed around November 8.

Chief Paparo Announces Plans for #MissionLockitUp Decals

Yeadon Police Chief Anthony Paparo has announced on Twitter that the department will soon be offering a reflective, weatherproof decal to place on car windows, front doors, and other locations to help remind residents to always lock their homes and vehicles. #MissionLockitUp is a reminder that the best way to prevent and deter thefts is to secure your property and keep valuables out of sight.
